From Policy Changes to Behaviour Change: Implementing Green Solutions
Governments worldwide have not done enough to create a sustainable and healthier planet. Despite making promises to reduce CO2 emissions and pollution, their efforts have been ineffective, and they engage in endless debates. This lack of action is likely due to pressure from large corporate lobby groups, which influence government decisions for their own benefit.
Rather than relying on governments and large corporations we must take matters into our own hands.
As we have demonstrated there are simple solutions that we can implement by working together. Green Activists, Environmental Associations, Clusters and individuals can unite to create a powerful force for change, in effect becoming an effective lobby group. Innovative financial models and crowdfunding can be used to implement sustainable solutions and at the same time create a sustainable organisation.
We must recognize that political interests and corporate lobbying are hindering progress towards a more sustainable planet. Instead of waiting for governments to take action, we must take responsibility for our own actions and work towards practical solutions that benefit both the environment and our communities. By working together, we can make a real difference in creating a more sustainable and healthier planet for ourselves and future generations.
